Hey Mamas! We are Alison & Melanie, co-founders of gritMAMA. We have traveled the Mothering journey together for 12 years, meeting when our kids were babies! We have shared life, loss, joy, hardship and celebrations over that time. Alike in some life experiences, beliefs and values and very different in others, we have marveled and cherished our similarities and differences throughout our very long and close sisterhood. We share love, respect and honor for one another’s choices and beliefs, trusting she is making her best choice with what she has and knows to be true for herself. This is the type of community we are creating and cultivating in Grit Mama....one of sisterhood around our bond as hard working & gritty Moms!

gritMAMA is an inclusive community for all Moms. Period. This is not political, religious, racial or exclusive in any way; if your life experience encompasses being a Mom, however that shows up for you, this space is for you and we are your tribe.

gritMAMA is about each of our stories as Moms, our Mothering experiences and all the crazy, wonderful, hard, hilarious, excruciating, tricky, overwhelming, life giving (the list is endless, really!) experiences we have as Mothers every single day.

We will have ongoing conversation and inspiration for all we experience and navigate today as Moms. We take our roles, as holders of this safe and inclusive space, incredibly seriously and we commit to you our daily and joined efforts in maintaining that space for all of our community members.

In the gritMAMA community, we will have fun & fabulous events, rejuvenating retreats, gorgeous gear, inspiring & connecting blogs, a podcast and more in the works! We want you to come along with us as your presence will help make gritMAMA the robust supportive community we all need!
